16 lutego 2012 r. w holu sali widowiskowej miało miejsce otwarcie wystawy „Lasy dla ludzi” będącej pokłosiem konkursu zainicjowanego przez portal goldap.org.pl, gołdapski Dom Kultury i Nadleśnictwo Gołdap.
Nagrody i dyplomy wręczali jurorzy oraz Marta Jurgiełan i Jarosław Jasiński.
Jury w składzie: Tadeusz Krzywicki – fotograf i filmowiec, Andrzej Wyłucki – Nadleśniczy Nadleśnictwa Gołdap i Paweł Augustynowicz – reprezentujący Nadleśnictwo Czerwony Dwór, wybrało laureatów konkursu „Lasy dla ludzi”.Siedemnastu autorów przysłało ponad 200 prac. Do wystawy pokonkursowej zakwalifikowano 80 fotografii 15 autorów.

Finałem ferii z Domem Kultury był bal przebierańców nawiązujący do wspomnianej „Akademii Pana Kleksa”, którego uczestnicy zobowiązani byli do „przystrojenia” swojej twarzy piegami.
Przed zebraną publicznością wystąpili: „Follow Me” z Kowal Oleckich, „By Mistake” i „Steelwolf” z Domu Kultury, „Prawiesławni” z Suwałk i „Sinhead” z Gołdapi.
Uzbieraną żywność przekazano gołdapskiemu Ośrodkowi Pomocy Społecznej, który rozda ją potrzebującym przed Świętami Bożego Narodzenia.
Koncert zorganizowano z inicjatywy Jakuba Michniewicza przy współpracy pracowni muzycznej „Kotłownia”.
Wystawiony 04.11.2011 roku spektakl GRIGA był pełną humoru i wartkiej akcji historią spotkania po długich latach trójki przyjaciół z lat szkolnych (Grigi, Soni i Pietki). Alkohol, rosyjska muzyka i aura zimowego wieczoru sprzyjały wspomnieniom, kłótniom, bójce, a nawet gorącym wyznaniom miłosnym.
